Towing and Roadside FAQ

Direct answers to the questions drivers in Homestead, the Redland and south Miami-Dade search most. For anything urgent, call (305) 647-3722.

Pricing and payment

What does a tow cost in Miami-Dade?

The price is based on distance, vehicle type, any recovery work and whether a flatbed is needed. Call (305) 647-3722 with both addresses for a free quote.

Is towing charged per mile?

Most tows combine a hook-up charge with a per-mile charge. We quote the total for your trip before dispatch.

What does it cost to tow a car 10, 20 or 50 miles?

Cost rises with distance, but the vehicle and the situation also matter. Give us the exact pickup and drop-off addresses for an accurate quote.

Will my insurance pay for the tow?

It may, if your policy includes towing or roadside coverage, or if the tow follows a covered accident. Check with your insurer and keep the receipt we provide.

During the service

How long will the tow truck take?

It depends on your location, traffic and time of day. We give you an honest estimate when you call.

Can I ride with the tow truck driver?

It depends on the truck and the number of passengers. Ask when you call.

Can you tow a vehicle without the keys?

Yes, with a flatbed or wheel-lift. Keys help if the steering is locked or the vehicle is in park.

Do you tow motorcycles?

Yes, on a flatbed with motorcycle tie-downs.

Can a tow truck enter a parking garage?

Often yes. Tell us the garage and its height clearance so we send a truck that fits.

How far will you tow my vehicle?

Local tows across south Miami-Dade and long-distance tows to other cities and states. Ask for a quote.

Breakdowns and roadside service

What should I do if my vehicle breaks down on Krome Avenue?

Turn on hazard lights and move as far right as you safely can, ideally onto a side road or lot. Stay inside with your seat belt on unless the vehicle is unsafe. Call 911 if anyone is hurt; then call us with the nearest cross street.

Who should I call when my car breaks down?

Call 911 for emergencies. For the vehicle, call a towing and roadside company. In the Homestead area, call (305) 647-3722.

I locked my keys in the car. What now?

If a child, pet or vulnerable person is inside, call 911 immediately. Otherwise, call us for lockout service; we open the vehicle without damage.

Can you jump-start my car instead of towing it?

Usually, if the problem is the battery. If the vehicle starts and stays running, no tow is needed.

Is roadside assistance coverage worth it?

It depends on how much you drive and the age of your vehicle. Without a plan, you can call us directly and pay only for the service you use.

Towed vehicles

How do I find my towed car in Miami-Dade?

Check the signs at the parking lot: private lots must post the towing company name and phone number. If police ordered the tow, contact that agency’s non-emergency line. Bring ID and proof of ownership to pick up the vehicle.

Can a tow company tow from private property?

Yes, when authorized by the property owner or manager under Florida rules, usually with posted signs. Contact the property manager if you believe a tow was improper.

Did you tow my car from a parking lot?

We tow when drivers call us. For a parking-lot tow, the posted signs show which company handles that property.
